The site includes the DafneSoft, the software application developed in the context of the Data Food Networking (DAFNE) projects. The data presented through DafneSoft have been provided and analyzed by the members of the DAFNE network and provide information on the mean daily food availability in Europe. The software is made available by the DAFNE Coordinating Centre at the University of Athens Medical School.

There may be inadvertent and occasional errors for which we apologise. If errors are brought to our attention, please inform us (info@hhf-greece.gr) we will try to correct them. However, the DAFNE Coordinating Centre does not guarantee the accuracy of secondary analyses made by parties outside the Centre using the DAFNE data, nor does it accept responsibility for any use made thereof.

Links in the DafneSoft website will lead to sites over which we have no control. The DAFNE Coordinating Centre accept no responsibility for the information contained in these external websites or the consequences incurred as a result of using this site or any linked external sites. The existences of such links do not represent an endorsement for the site concerned.

This disclaimer is not intended to contravene any requirements laid down in applicable national law or to exclude liability for matters that may not be excluded under that law.

Privacy Policy

The DAFNE Coordinating Centre is committed to user privacy. Policy on “protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data by the Community Institutions” is based on Regulation (EC) No 45/2001 of the European Parliament and of the Council of the 18th December 2000.

Personal information is required in order to enable us to keep you updated about DafneSoft. In such case, this personal information is treated according to the policy described in the above-mentioned Regulation.

The software contains links to other sites whose information practices may be different. The DAFNE Coordinating Centre is not responsible for the privacy practices within any of these other sites. You should be aware of this when you link to other sites and we encourage you to read the privacy statements on other web sites you visit, as we have no control over information that is submitted to, or collected by, these third parties.

Any personal information you provide to the DAFNE Coordinating Centre will be held securely, and your personal details will not normally be disclosed to third parties. The DAFNE Coordinating Centre will not divulge your personal data to third parties for direct marketing purposes. We will disclose information we maintain when required to do so by law, for example in response to a court order. We also may disclose information in response to a legitimate request from an official law enforcement agency (e.g. the police or an investigating magistrate).
